Poor quality

Camera head is bad that comes with the package. Ordered the mag mount and it did not come with my order. Called with my complaint and they said that they can upgrade the head if I pay 50 bucks and return the current one, nervous to do that being how rough the one I got was. Will use a fluid head instead in the future. I still have not received my mag mount head and it has been 2 weeks. Sucks because we are right in the middle of season and not having what I ordered. I remember this used to be the company you wanted to deal with in the past with my other arms. Just disappointing on how it has changed.

Plastic doesn’t hold up in the cold. Head creaks when you turn it.

This review is long overdue, as I purchased this is arm 2 years ago, which is also the first and only year I filmed due to these reasons; the plastic on the phone mount cracked and so did the plastic on the mini head where the screw tightens down to the head. The head also had a “creak” when I would turn the camera and any deer would be able to hear it from 100 yards away on a quiet day. Like other reviews said, the strap is way too long and the ratchet is very loud. Not sure why this arm has the amount of high reviews that it does, but I’m not a fan. Not to mention, when I first reached out to customer service about my broken components they would not cover the damaged parts. First impression with this company was not good. It’s been 2 years, so I’m sure they’ve made improvements.

Baton Arm 2.0

For the price, this was a great addition to my filming gear. The only downside was the strapping system — the long, bulky strap made it awkward to wrap around a tree while trying to hold the arm in place. I wish it came with an Aimsteel-style setup using a trucker’s hitch and a Prusik knot for quicker, quieter, and more secure setups.

I like how easy it is to use and the packabiltiy. So easy to get setup and film quickly. Light weight, with lots of range of motion to film all shots from the tree! Great product, would reccomend for anyone wanting to self film!
